Modern Relics
Modern Relics is a collection of tokens that were born in 2014 on the Dogeparty and Counterparty platforms. They have remained frozen in their original state…until now. We have awakened them from their slumber and have given them a new opportunity to shine in the modern age of crypto collectibles.
This project aims to breathe new life into this collection of ancient tokens by making them more appealing and tradeable, with desirable characteristics. Today’s collector specifically favors a low issuance of a non-divisible asset with an image attached. These relics have all had a divisibility reset and issuance updated to reflect the modern preference.
The final enhancement will be the attachment of a newly created piece of art to each token. Modern Relics will give everyone in the crypto art community a chance to contribute their talent and a fortunate few will have the opportunity to have their art permanently attached to these unique tokens!
How Does It Work?
Modern Relics will offer 75 COLLECTOR tokens for purchase on Counterparty and 75 COLLECTOR tokens on Dogeparty to kick off the project. Our COLLECTOR token holders will receive a Modern Relic monthly according to the distribution schedule. A grand total of 40 Modern Relics with supply locked at 100 will be distributed. Modern Relic sub-assets will also be created for artists contributing artwork to the Modern Relics project.
How Can Artists Participate?
- Artists may submit artwork for any Modern Relic in the project.
- The winner for the first month will be chosen at the beginning of month 2, the winner for month 2 will be announced at the beginning of month 3, and so on.
- The artwork submission fee will be 1 RELICASH ($20 USD)
- 75 of each monthly Modern Relic supply will be distributed to COLLECTOR holders, and the remaining 25 tokens will be awarded to the winning artist. The winning artist will also receive 1 RELICASH to use for new submissions.
- Submissions that did not win will have the artwork minted as a sub-asset. The artist will name and have ownership of their sub-asset with the ability to issue supply and otherwise do with their sub-asset as they see fit.
